When you choose to submit an entry the requisite entry amount will be debited from your SportsMillions Account and you enter the respective game. All entries are final. No refunds will be issued.
To be eligible to submit an entry or to receive any prize, you may be required to provide SportsMillions with additional documentation and/or information to verify your identity as the Accountholder, and to provide proof that all eligibility requirements are met. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person named on the profile of the Account the entry was submitted, or if possession of the Account itself is contested and, in SportsMillions’ sole opinion, sufficiently uncertain, the name in which the email address on file was registered with the email service provider. SportsMillions reserves the right not to award a Prize to an individual it believes in its sole discretion did not submit the winning entry.
Prizes of any kind will only be awarded if the respective entry is settled. We reserve the right to cancel entries at any time. In the event of a cancellation, all entry amounts will be refunded to the entrants except as specifically provided in these Terms. After each game ends, the winners remain subject to final verification.
What happens with postponed/suspended matches?
If a match is postponed or suspended and the completion of that match does not occur within 24 hours from the initial scheduled time, legs for the match will be graded as Void.
Shortened matches that are still official will score as usual and be counted toward entries.
Once winners are notified and prizes are awarded, the scoring results will not be changed regardless of any official adjustments made by the professional leagues, though we reserve the right to make adjustments based on errors or irregularities in the transmission of information to us from our stats provider or in our calculation of results.
Prizes and awards offered for each game (“Prize”, “Prizes”) will be established, published, and made available to Users with the creation of a new game (“Win Table”). Win Tables are published prior to SportsMillions opening the respective game to User entries.
SportsMillions will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all Prizes are awarded within forty-eight (48) hours following the conclusion of each game.
SportsMillions may, in its sole and absolute discretion, require the User to execute a separate release of claims as a condition of being awarded any prize, receiving any payout, or continuing to use the SportsMillions platform. All prizes will be directed into your Account.
To the extent that SportsMillions offers “live” statistics before or during gameplay and or game entry, all “live” statistics, scoring and other information provided through SportsMillions and related information sources are unofficial. Further, during certain Contests, SportsMillions may be reliant on third-party operators to provide “live scoring” of certain sporting events and matches. At times, you may not be able to see or access the most up-to-date information or “live scoring” for the relevant sporting event or match. Regardless of the reason for the delay in information, SportsMillions shall not be liable for any such delay in provision of information or “live scoring.”
SportsMillions may also offer historical statistics during a User’s selection of a roster. SportsMillions is reliant upon third-party operators for this historical information. Offerings of historical statistics may contain errors or omissions due to any of a number of factors out of SportsMillions’ control. Regardless of the reason for errors or omissions in historical statistics, SportsMillions shall not be liable for a User’s reliance on historical statistics.
“Live scoring,” information, statistics and their respective components are offered for informational and/or entertainment purposes only and are not used to determine the results of games. Neither SportsMillions nor its third-party providers warrant or make any representations of any kind with respect to the information provided through the App and/or Site and related information sources. SportsMillions and its third-party providers shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness, or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the Site and related information sources, shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information, nor shall SportsMillions be responsible for any errors or losses you suffer or any other issues that result therefrom.
SportsMillions takes every effort to ensure that accurate, up-to-date scoring is applied across all games. However, SportsMillions does not guarantee the accuracy of any scoring or stat corrections. Stat corrections posted by SportsMillions’ third-party data provider (30) or more minutes following the official conclusion of the sporting event or competition will not be retroactively applied to entries and not be taken into consideration for determining how to score the Game.
Scoring
We endeavour to promptly settle Games and distribute prizes, but it is also important to us to make sure we do so accurately. Normally, any scoring changes or stat corrections provided by our partners after a Match has ended and SportsMillions has settled the Game and/or the corresponding Legs will not impact the already settled Game. However, SportsMillions reserves the right in its sole discretion to revise scores after they are released in the unlikely event of potential scoring error by a provider or SportsMillions. In those circumstances, the Game results may be altered, and Entries or Awards may be reversed and redone, based on the correction.
If a league declares a match "postponed", then the statistics generated in the sporting event before that point will count toward the contest. Any statistics generated when the sporting event resumes will count only if the match resumes within 24 hours from the original starting time.
Incorrectly posted results
SportsMillions reserves the right in its sole discretion to revise scores after they are released in the unlikely event of potential scoring error by a provider or SportsMillions. In those circumstances, the Game results may be altered, and Entries or Awards may be reversed and redone, based on the correction.
Blitz'em Games offered through the Services are games of chance. Each of our Blitz'ems is governed by specific rules, as may be modified from time to time. Winners are determined by the objective criteria described in the Blitz'em rules and other documentation associated with the Blitz'em. Blitz'em winners are determined by chance. The probabilities to win respective prizes is available prior to the entry.
Users are provided with a list of upcoming sports events from various leagues and competitions, each event having a set of potential outcomes, such as the winner of the match or the number of points scored by a team. Users can enter a game on SportsMillions by selecting a tile referring to a Player, Team, Match, Day, or a different category in the lobby. The win conditions are ‘legs’, e.g. statements regarding upcoming events that contain win conditions themselves and can turn out to be correct or not correct based on the actual course of the corresponding event or events.
For example: Giannis Antetokounmpo to score more than 13.5 Points in the Bucks vs. Celtics game on 10th of May 2024.
For each Blitz'em game, the entry range and win tables are shown in advance.
The win table is dynamic and depends on the selected entry value and the number of legs. Its values, e.g. the potential prizes increase / decrease should the user choose to increase / decrease the entry. The user can’t choose the end results / concrete legs that’ll determine whether he’ll win or lose. The user can’t select a prize specifically but will enter an amount of coins which will result in a random prize selection out of a set of possible prizes that are shown prior to the entry. If accepted by the user, the entry amount of coins will be deducted from their SportsMillions account based on their selection. The drawn prize and the drawn legs that correspond with another and may result in a prize are called ‘Ticket’. The user is able to create multiple tickets at the same time at the point of entry, which results in entering with the amount of coins for one ticket multiplied with the number of tickets the user wants to receive.
After entering, the potential prize and legs are randomly drawn. The legs are based on the results of professional athletes, team and match statistics in sporting events and matches.
SportsMillions uses third-party operators to provide statistics and results.
Once the sporting events and matches have been completed, and the winning conditions have been met, e.g. the legs turn out to be correct, the previously drawn prize will be credited to the SportsMillions account based on the respective win table. A subject (player, team, match, game day) has to be selected for an entry to be submitted. All possible statistical categories per subject, e.g. legs, are shown on the game information screen. Most statistical categories are displayed as two outcome exhaustive (Over/Under 2.5 Goals in Soccer, for example) and most outcomes cover the ~ 50 percentile in terms of probability.
SportsMillions may reject any entry for any reason, including internal risk limits.
After a subject, for instance a player, match or team is selected, the user can input their entry. Afterwards, the potential prize and the winning conditions (e.g. the legs that need to turn out correctly for the user to win the prize) will be drawn randomly from a predefined set of possible prizes and legs which will be displayed to the user prior to the entry. The user can’t choose a certain event or outcome as the winning conditions, the user can’t choose a prize they play for. The user can select and adjust the potential prize pool by adjusting the entry amount and the potential legs by choosing a category like ‘Player’ or a certain match. The probabilities of winning never change based on the user's input.
If a player withdraws prior to a match or does not become active during a match, or if an event does not take place in a way that it would have to for the created legs to result in a winning and a losing way, the affected leg will be considered void. The ticket’s drawn prize will be reduced by 50% per voided leg to make up for the increasing winning probability.
For example: If the user enters a 5 leg fixed game and one leg is considered void, the ticket will be considered a 4 leg fixed game and the win table will adjust accordingly by reducing the played-for prize by 50%. For every leg voided, the played-for prize will be reduced by 50%.
In the case that a reduction of the ticket’s potential prize is not suitable based on the initial number of legs, the initial potential prize itself or due to other reasons, the leg will be considered void and the ticket will be considered void entirely. The entry amount for the ticket will be given back to the user. Only tickets with at least 3 legs are eligible for a potential leg reduction. Tickets with 2 legs will result in void, should 1 of the legs be considered void.
A selection will be deemed active if the subject selected becomes active in a sense that enables the corresponding leg to be potentially true and false. For example, if an athlete does not play at any point in time, the leg will be deemed void. If an athlete does enter the field of play, but does not record a statistic, the ticket will stand. As long as the player’s corresponding leg can be correct and false once in the actual course of a game, it is deemed as active and will stand, even if the course of the game changes in a way that disables the leg to be correct or wrong. For example, if a player is injured 5 minutes after he entered the field, the corresponding leg won’t be considered void.
Unless otherwise stated, entries resulted as per the results and statistics published by third parties. Unless otherwise stated, the result announced by third parties at the completion of an event will be the sole result considered for the settlement of selections. Disqualifications or penalties occurred after the results are announced, positive drug testing results, rule breaches will not count towards settlement of that selection. Unless otherwise stated, a ticket will be considered ended once the outcome of the market has been unequivocally determined by SportsMillions. Should an event be abandoned after the result of the individual selection has been determined, the results will stand for settlement purposes.
SportsMillions will endeavour to result and settle entries as soon as the event is completed, or the result of an individual entry has been determined. Please note, however, our resulting sources must be able to confirm the result before markets are settled to ensure resulting and settlement accuracy. Unfortunately, delays may occur on occasions where there is a delay in the announcement/ publication of an official result.
The win table determines the prize for the user in the case that the user's ticket won. The win table's contents are predefined in sets of n numbers and the prize that is applied to the legs eventually is drawn based on a predefined probability for every ticket drawn. Every single ticket can be eligible for a prize if the drawn legs meet the winning conditions. The winning conditions may vary between the game types and, based on the decision of the user, to choose the fixed play (high volatility) or the flex play (lower volatility) option. If a ticket wins, the prizes are awarded.
Example:
Ticket ID | Game | Leg quantity | Volatility | Win condition |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Blitz'em | 5 | Low (flex play) | 4 or more legs are correct |
2 | Blitz'em | 3 | High (fixed play) | 3 legs are correct |
The Ticket with ID = 1 has 5 shuffled legs and is in flex play. It wins if 4 or more legs out of the 5 are correct. The Ticket with ID = 2 has 3 shuffled legs and is in fixed play. It only wins if 3 out of the 3 are correct.
Checking The Winning Conditions
The winning conditions have to be checked on the basis of the actuals / current results of the sports events that take place. If the number of correct legs is high enough to meet the winning conditions (for example: 4 correct legs for the Ticket with ID = 1), the ticket is declared as a winning ticket. If the number of correct legs is not high enough to meet the winning conditions (for example: 2 correct legs for the Ticket with ID = 2), the ticket is declared as a losing ticket.
Example:
Ticket ID | Win Condition | Correct Legs | Won? |
---|---|---|---|
1 | (>=(n-1))/n legs are correct | 4/5 | Yes |
2 | n/n legs are correct | 2/3 | No |
Applying The Win Table:
If the ticket loses (like ticket 2 in the example above), no prize is applied to the ticket. If the ticket won (like ticket 1) a prize is applied. All Win Tables can be found prior to the game entry.
Flex Payout
If the user chooses to use the flex play option, they’ll also receive a prize, even if not all of their legs turn out to be correct. This lower volatility, however, results in lower multipliers. The drawn multiplier gets multiplied with a coefficient that is set by us beforehand and will be shown to the user prior to the entry. This new multiplier is used for the prize, should the ticket have n/n legs correct. For (n-1)/n correct legs, another, lower variable is used to calculate the prize, which is also shown to the user prior to the entry.
What happens if players don't play or if a game is rescheduled?
All legs will be valid if a player plays in a game but exits early due to injury or otherwise.
If a game is postponed or suspended and the completion of that game does not occur within 24 hours from the initial starting time, legs for the game will be graded as Void.
Shortened games that are still official will score as usual and be counted toward entries.
SportsMillions reserves the right to cancel Blitz'ems, at our sole discretion, without any restrictions. If you have entered with an entry fee for a Blitz'em and SportsMillions cancels the Blitz'em, we will credit your SportsMillions account with the entry amount.
Typically, we would only do so in cases where there were problems with our services, events that impacted sporting outcomes, or questions regarding the contest's integrity. We would also do so if we believe an entry circumvents the rules. Additionally, SportsMillions reserves the right to void any leg due to a projection error. Entries including clear and obvious errors will be voided.
