Golf is undoubtedly one of the most frustrating sports to play and requires extreme focus to pull off consistency at the highest level. Even after perfecting their swings, pro golfers still rarely pull out a hole-in-one, one of the rarest occurrences in golf history.
The odds of a regular golfer making a hole-in-one are estimated at around 12,500 to 1. Those odds drop to 2,500 to 1 for a professional golfer, still making this a highly unusual and unlikely event.
Still, though, the best golfers will find a way, with some single-handedly acquiring multiple PGA tour hole-in-ones throughout their careers. Five is the magic number to make an appearance on our list, with 34 golfers managing this number or more over the course of their professional careers.
It’s important to note, that official PGA hole-in-ones only count when they are witnessed and a part of an actual game or tournament, so while there may be unofficial higher hole-in-one records, we’ve compiled a list of golfers with 5+ hole-in-ones to the best of our ability. While some golfers achieved more than 5 PGA hole-in-ones, we’ve listed the 20 golfers with exactly 5 hole-in-ones below:
It’s truly surprising to see some players shoot multiple hole-in-ones on the PGA tour while others can’t achieve one in their careers. There’s already an impressive number of players (some of whom you may never have heard of) with 6+ hole-in-ones in total. Golfers with exactly 6 career PGA hole-in-ones include:
To put it into perspective, 28 different players shot 5 OR 6 hole-in-ones in their entire career, including the likes of Phil Mickelson and Billy Mayfair. That leaves 7 exclusive players with 7 or more PGA hole-in-ones throughout their career, where only 2 of those seven somehow manage 10 total hole-in-ones, however, we’ll get to those later. Golfers with exactly 7 PGA hole-in-ones throughout all their tours are as follows:
For some reason, the two golfers on this list decided to skip staying at just 8 and 9 hole-in-ones and shoot for double-digits. This is truly impressive, as achieving 10 PGA hole-in-ones is the current highest hole-in-one record count to date. The two players below hole the current record for most holes in ones in PGA history with 10 each:
Sutton now plays on the Seniors Tour, and at the age of 53 Allenby is not exactly in his prime, but he could still pull out another hole-in-one to give himself the lead outright. Otherwise it’s up to another challenger to surpass this impressive mark!
