Week 11 of the NFL has arrived, and if you think there won’t be new records, you’re in for a treat. Each week of the NFL has something special for the fans and players, and this one will most likely have something special in store.
There were countless new records in Week 11 of the 2023-24 NFL season. Let’s dive right into the most impressive NFL Week 11 records from last season.
This would not be Josh Allen’s first rodeo for setting records. The Bills had no problem overcoming the Jets in this Week 11 2023 matchup, winning 32-6. By the end of this game, Allen had achieved 205 combined passing and rushing TDs, beating out Patrick Mahomes, who sat at 204.
Although Mahomes only played one game in his 2017 debut season, Allen still takes home the glory for being the first player in six seasons to achieve such a feat.
Despite Hill receiving a hand injury in his record-setting Week 11 NFL game, he still managed to finish the game against the Raiders and win 20-13. Even so, he’d tally 10 catches, 140+ receiving yards and found the endzone in just the 10th game of his career.
Hill would be the first post-Super Bowl era player to receive 1,200 yards in his first 10 games of the season, a record not broken since 1961.
DaRon Bland did not like the opposition on offense. He was known for making crucial interceptions throughout the season, and in just Week 8, he’d be the first player in Cowboys history with 3 picks-sixes in a season.
By Week 11, Bland became just the fourth NFL player in history to return 4 interceptions and score four TDs in 1 season. When it comes to breaking records, this one is truly impressive, as some players don’t even earn 1 pick in their career, so returning 4 for touchdowns seems like insanity.
With this newer hallmark, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is in the same breath as other NFL scoring legends. By Week 11 of his NFL career and after only 21 games with the 49ers, McCaffrey scored 24 touchdowns (over just 21 games), achieving one of the most eye-opening football accomplishments to date.
Only Hall of Famer Randy Moss edges out McCaffrey slightly on this, scoring 25 times in his first 21 games with the New England Patriots back in 2007.
An impressive feat achieved by the young quarterback, Brock Purdy, would be one of the hardest to obtain in modern-era football. In his Week 11 performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Purdy attempted 25 passes, completing 21 of them (84%) for 333 yards, 3 TDs, and no picks.
From these numbers, at just 23 years old, Purdy became the second-youngest player in history to attain a perfect passer rating of at least 20+ attempts in a game since Lamar Jackson at age 22 in Week 1 of the 2019 season.
